Thar she goes!
La Nina has finally broken down. NOAA had expected this to occur in the March to May time period and it has apparently occurred.

50% chance of El Nino forming again, great look at the temperature anomalies we had here in Alberta, Montana, and the Dakotas during April.
Best regards,
Brian

This has some potential implications for beekeepers in the northern hemisphere. A milder winter can be a blessing or a curse; bees eat through more stores but have more chances for cleansing flights.
Will be interesting to see what transpires.

NOAA Climate Prediction Centre has instituted an 'El Nino watch' as of June. Greater than 50% chance of El Nino conditions by late Fall.

Recent discussion for El Nino on CPC website gave probability of El Nino conditions at 60% for this Fall and 70% by this Winter. We shall see.
