Colimo since you are a birder, I saw a beautiful mountain bluebird sitting on a stop sign on a Saturday drive into the Bear Tooth Mountains. When I worked on the missile sites and drove in the country a lot, I got to see all three species that live here fairly regularly. I remember Orchard Orioles nesting in a boxelder tree near our home when a small boy. I never will forget the pendulous nest. We saw them occaisionally passing thru as you do, but rarely as residents.

One of the birds of my childhood were what we called thrushes, a rusty reddish bird probably robin sized or bigger. Then one year they disappeared and I think I have only seen one the rest of my life. Some catastrophe in Wintering I imagine.
