I have a brief report from the UBAC meeting at Olds College yesterday.
https://unitedbeekeepers.org/education-2/
The cost was $40 and there was no catering and the food fair was not open, so people got coffee, water and bagged cookies.
Apparently there were 37 people in attendance, including organizers. I heard the program was good, but not detailed. I did not hear if there were any sponsors.
The timing was bad IMO. It is hard to get beekeepers to show up during bee season for a meeting that is not in a beeyard. Mothers Day weekend is a time when most are committed, too.
I was not there, so please add details if you were there.
Is it Time for a New Alberta Beekeeping Organisation?
