The Ohio legislature recently approved a new 'Save the Honeybee' license plate. http://www.ohiostatebeekeepers.org/wp-c ... r-2015.pdf
I have to say it is not something I support. I think it could have been done in a better way that increased awareness of the problems facing all pollinators. My first problem is that honeybees are not a native species. My second problem is that do honeybees really need to be saved? The recent influx of hobby beekeepers adds to the momentum that honeybees need saving.
As I mature I'm trying not to be a curmudgeon. I'm more successful some days than others.

Re: Save the Honeybee!
The way I have decided to deal with the save the honeybee crowd is to shut up and cash the check. They get the thrill of saving the world and I get my expensive hobby slightly subsidized and no harm is done.
