Honey Bee World

It is so smoky in Calgary from all the fires out West, a person doesn't even need to light a smoker to work the bees. It is so smoky most of the yellow jackets are in hiding, or at least I've only seen 10% or 15% of what I normally see today. I can't imagine how bad it is on the other side of the mountain in BC some 400km/250Miles away. I guess this is the price we pay for having a fantastic summer, hot & dry.

Don't feel lonesome. Smoke is bad here and air quality is really bad. It has been that way a couple weeks trending worse. We got a couple days off when we got just enough rain to wash the air. I imagine this will be the way it is until snow flies or a lot of rain.
