Hive Bottom Board Ventilation

Unread post by Hawker »

The majority of my bottom boards have a removable white puck board tray with a screen above.
With the upcoming heat wave it can't hurt to remove this to aid in ventilation can it. As a side note I have already drilled a 13/16" hole in the front/top of the second brood chamber. And also have at least one hole in the 2-3 supers that are on. Temps for Sunday in my area are suppose to be in the 32 above and evening temps of 13-16 Deg range.
