Jon, Ellen & I drove Katrina to preschool, then headed north on
24 to Boston. We planned to go to the Museum of Fine Art. Ellen
wanted to see the Art Deco exhibit there. We spent some time driving
around Boston, and finally found the museum. Art Deco, for the most
part leaves me cold, but I did enjoy the Monets, Gaugins, and Van Goghs, etc.
I have never really cared for Picasso, and the samples in Boston, weren't great,
IMO anyhow.
We left at three, and went to the airport for our 6 PM flight.
By midnight, we were home and in our own beds, almost a continent away from
where we slept last might
I spent the day catching up.
In the afternoon, I went to Three Hills for some groceries. Meijers came
for supper.

Jean & Chris came for the weekend.
Chris & I played with Knoppix, then got a tree in Three Hills. We set it
up and decorated it after supper.
I had some problems burning the
Knoppix disks from the ISOs, but finally got it figured out. It also turns
out that this notebook, Chris' notebook and one of my desktops has a winmodem
and Knoppix does not install winmodems. Apparently, there is some Linux
support, though, but I have to figure out how to get the files and install them,
unless they are on the Knoppix disk and I just have not figured how to find
them. I also found that Knoppix will not completely boot on my old PII
166. Maybe that is due to the extra drives and partitioning?

Tonight : Periods of snow. Amount 2 cm. Wind east 20 km/h. Low minus 13. /

We visited and took a walk around
town. If we walk the entire circumference of Swalwell, we
cover exactly two kilometres. Ellen went to Red Deer to attend
Marj Vetter's opening.
Sunday : Cloudy. 60 percent chance of flurries. High minus 8.
Wow! Friday already, and I
haven't made an entry all week. Guess I'm a bit burned out. I've had
a low grade cold and mostly spent the time either hacking around on my
computers, doing bookwork or tidying. Tuesday, El & I went to Drum in the
afternoon, then to Meijers for supper and a small party, seeing as it is Joe's
birthday, and he was off to Holland on Thursday.
