Note: There can be a problem with this BEE-L web
posting feature that is encountered under the following conditions:
-
the first time a new,
unregistered user posts, or
-
the first time a
registered user posts from a different computer
For
whatever reason, after writing an article, then pressing the 'post'
button, a request for registration info is encountered. The user
must fill the simple form out to proceed, but in the process, it is
possible to lose entire posts. That can be aggravating...
There is a workaround. Either write your article in
Windows® Notepad and then select (Ctrl+a) and copy (Ctrl+c) and paste
(Ctrl+v) it into the browser window on the composing page, or copy the article you write
in the browser window on the composing page to the clipboard before you
press 'send'. Then, if you encounter the dreaded registration
screen, you can register, then go back and paste your message into the
window again.
After you have registered once on a computer, you should not encounter
the registration request again unless you delete all the cookies or
change your username. Nevertheless, it is wise to save a copy of
each article in Notepad or another text editor until you see
the confirmation screen -- just in case
