Thanks Eric

Hope to gets lots more discussion going here. It's a timely topic, I think.

As for the trash, as I say, Jon did all the dirty work: I just get ink on my hands :) He'll have a few comments to post here about his procedures when he gets tired of making up brood chambers (later today, I hope).

As far as the trash is concerned, I guess the wire loop is the reaon I saw very little trash in the samples I did get a chance to look at. Very few spores, too. At first we thought we were doing something wrong as lab techs. But, as it turns out, I guess as beekeepers we must be doing something right.

For now, we are using a microscope (a beauty) we borrowed from the local high school. We own a kid's 'scope, but when we saw so little in the way of spores (none in some early samples) we thought our 'scope was at fault.

Anyhow, i'm thinking of getting out the catalogue again and getting a good 'scope. We had a deal with the supplier to give discounts anywhere in Canada or the US some time back. Maybe it is still on. Is anyone else intersted? Email me

Golly, this window is tiny. When I get a moment, I'll have to make it bigger.

Later

Allen
